Steven Sackmann, an Eastern Washington native born and raised in Odessa, received his undergraduate degrees from Washington State University and his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law in 1969. His legal career has spanned four decades in private practice, focusing on farm Chapter 11 and 12 reorganizations, commercial and farm leases, real estate, business law, general practice, and litigation; in 1975, he opened his own practice, Sackmann Law, PLLC, with his wife Sonja I. Sackmann, who passed away from ovarian cancer in July 2008.
Mr. Sackmann lives in Othello, Washington with his wife Jacqueline. He has 3 children: Robyn Moore, who lives in Moses Lake, Washington with her husband John. Robyn has one son, Ryan, and two daughters, Lauren and Kristin; Nicole Amoruso, who lives in Othello, Washington with her husband Darren, daughter Ashley and son Tyler; Brandon Sackmann, who lives in Olympia, Washington with his wife, Katherine and sons Aidan and Ian; and one step-son, Cedar D. Dixon, who lives in Port Orchard, Washington.
Currently, Mr. Sackmann serves as attorney for the Port of Othello. He is also the president of the Adams County Bar Association.
